  1. Raise Legal Symbols

This script automatically changes the Type Style of all trademark (™) and registered trademark (®) symbols to Superior or Superscript. The script does not toggle the Type Style. It looks at each ™ and ® in the document and ensures it is in the style you select (Superior and Superscript are treated as mutually exclusive type styles in this script).

  5. You can run the script on a document, edit the document, and run it again without removing existing formatting.

  8. To run this script:
  9. 1.    Open a document in QuarkXPress 4.0.
  10. 2.    Double-click on the "Raise Legal Symbols" script icon.
  11. 3.    A dialog box asks you to "Select a Type Style for ® and ™." Click Superior or Superscript.
  12. 4.    Marvel at it while it's running. That's it!
